My hovercraft is full of eels

The subject really has nothing to do with anything. Other than the fact that Monty Python came up briefly in a conversation with Will.

In less than six hours I have to drive my mother 1 1/2 hours to Danville for a Doctor’s appointment. This means I should be sleeping, right?

Went to Mohegan Sun (formerly Pocono Downs) to see a Bon Jovi tribute band with Rob, Brian, Doug, Ashley, Jeff, Jill, Will and Rich. It was a lot of fun and I managed to scrounge up some over-priced dark beer from the liquor lady (Pocono Lager) after gazing in horror at rows of Coors Light and Blue Moon bottles.

(Side Story: For years I hated all beer and people would always tell me that I just hadn’t found the right one yet. They would make me taste their Coors Lights, Miller Lites and so on, and it always tasted like crap. Then when I was dating my last boyfriend I had my first taste of Guinness and realized that pale yellow beers were not the way for me. Followed by Yuengling and anything else that is nice and dark. I don’t drink that often, but pass the Guinness or lager.)

I may be a little hoarse tomorrow from trying to have some conversation over the speakers and from maybe possibly singing loudly along when the band played.

I also witnessed some of the worst karaoke I have ever seen/heard. Why is is that as soon as someone opens up the mike a girl feels the need to wail out Black Velvet? It was awful and painfully loud. There were also a lot of middle-aged women dressed very inappropriately for their age. Is this my age group now? They were the ones who mainly took over karaoke when it was available.

I honestly had a ton of fun. It was great to hang out with some of the Gavin’s crew. Since Rob’s been doing the night shift we haven’t been able to see them much.

Sleep now?
